Luise Aston – Life and Work

From the series Forgotten Women Poets

Luise Aston was one of the most radical writers of the 19th century—nonconformist, self-assured, and far ahead of her time. She fought for women’s freedom, challenged marriage and social morality, and led a life that defied the conventions of her day.

This volume links her extraordinary life story with her novel *From the Life of a Woman*: the story of a woman who is no longer willing to accept that others should dictate her life, her love, and her freedom.

An astonishingly modern novel about female self-determination, social constraints, and the courage to choose one's own path in life.
