Alex Gernandt currently works as a freelance author for Der Spiegel, Classic Rock, Good Times and RIZE as well as on camera as a music expert for major TV documentaries and magazines. To date, he has conducted over 1,000 star interviews.

Martin Knoch was born in Karlsruhe in 1971. He is a passionate musician and "numbers man". He studied business mathematics and now works full-time as an IT consultant and part-time as a musician, songwriter, producer and author. 

For this book, Martin set off on a journey across Germany in 2024/2025 to have in-depth conversations with all the great artists who are shaping the current German blues scene.
