Mara Gardot

"A book about mindfulness, dignity and the art of reading horses quietly - and finding yourself in the process."

Mara Gardot is of German-French origin and studied behavioral biology with a focus on horse behavior. She specializes in positive reinforcement, mindfulness, body-oriented communication methods and resonance .

In clear, gentle language, Gardot combines scientific knowledge with lived experience. She describes how body language turns into a relationship, how breath provides security and how touch can become a dialog.

Each chapter opens up a space for meaning and joy - with small, everyday exercises and honest questions for ourselves. Her work stands for an attitude that combines ethics, practice and empathy: Dignity of the horse, safety on the ground, joy instead of function.

Mara Gardot writes as she teaches - clearly, warmly and quietly. Her books are invitations to rediscover relationships: honest, mindful and free of coercion.
