Cécile Zahorka, born in 1986 in Baden-Württemberg, is internationally known as "The Pixel Nomad" and works as a photographer, designer and brand specialist. She combines her German and French heritage with a cosmopolitan lifestyle and is at home all over Europe. After her studies in Interface Design at the FH Potsdam and her Master in Brand Management at the HS Pforzheim, complemented by study visits to South Africa and Portugal, she has continued to develop her passion for photography and the creative exploration of visual worlds.

Since her first shots with an analog SLR camera in 2005, Cécile has been following her view of the world - her photography is poetic, curious and deeply connected to nature. Horses, dogs and travel adventures were among her favorite subjects early on, but today her repertoire also includes people, fashion and brand photography. Her work has been published in international magazines and won prestigious photography awards.

With her project "Forgotten Horses", which she launched in 2018, Cécile inspires a growing community on social media and invites them to discover rare horse breeds. Her followers can expect much more than just aesthetic horse pictures - Cécile combines her images with knowledge and creates awareness for the preservation of cultural diversity in the equine world. Her project "Forgotten Horses" is a plea for the exploration and preservation of diversity and shows Cécile's deep respect for the interconnectedness of humans, animals and nature. Her first book is also dedicated to this topic, in which she takes readers on a visual journey to rare horse breeds and their stories. Her book "
Forgotten Horses" is a tribute to the diversity and beauty of horses, which Cécile has captured and documented over the years.

For Cécile Zahorka, photography is a window to the world and a tool forovercoming boundaries. With her work, she invites others to look at the world with curiosity and openness and to discover the invisible threads between culture, history and nature. In her work, she combines a sense of adventure with a deep aesthetic sensibility, creating works of art that are not only pleasing to the eye but also tell stories.

Her motto and inspiration are summarized in the following sentence:

"The limits of diversity are the limits of our world"
