Malwida von Meysenbug – Life and Work (Retailer)

Malwida von Meysenbug did not want to lead the life that had been planned for her. She defied family and societal expectations, championed education and women’s independence, lived through the Revolution of 1848, and later became an active participant in Europe’s intellectual circles.

This volume combines her extraordinary life story with the first volume of her *Memoirs of an Idealist*: a compelling account of freedom, political hope, exile, a fresh start, and the search for a self-determined life.

A fascinating book about the courage to live according to one's own convictions—and about a woman who was ahead of her time in many ways.
