German blues musicians in conversation. It shows photos from their lives and careers, some of which have never been published before. The musicians' stories form an exciting kaleidoscope of the live music of the last 50 years and the legendary clubs, pubs and festivals that still celebrate the blues in Germany today. Through the perspective of music, it tells a piece of the history of life and society in our country in the West and East.

Martin Knoch was born in Karlsruhe in 1971. He is a passionate musician and "numbers man". He studied business mathematics, worked as an investment banker in the City of Frankfurt and is now a full-time IT consultant and part-time musician, songwriter, producer and author.Â
The father of three grown-up children has lived in Berlin with his wife since 2023, where he is actively involved in the blues session scene and regularly runs the open stage at Speiches Rock- und Blues Kneipe .
For this book, Martin set off on a journey across Germany in 2024/2025 to have in-depth conversations with all the great artists who are shaping the current German blues scene.
